Facebook Marketplace
Avoid bad advertisement:
● bad descriptions
● no measurements
● price is "free" - when not
● price is "offer wanted"
● "message seller for price..."
● price is 1, 2 or 1234 etc
Do you use Facebook for buying and selling stuff?
I do, and I often pass by a lot of nice looking goods, cause the seller is either too lazy or not writing any good ads.
Bad descriptions
- is one thing, but not critical for the buyer - more not beneficial for the seller.
No measurements.
Well, if you can't be bothered to measure your furniture, don't expect me to contact you.
Price is marked as free
- and it turns out, the goods are not free at all. The advertiser just wants attention in the lowest possible way - I just pass by.
If the seller isn't honest starting with the price, what else is he/she lying about(?)
Price is: offer wanted!!!
You know what(?)
You have the goods, you know each little scratch or error - then you give me a picture and ask ME to decide a price for your goods!!! Why?
To open up a discussion of this and that and bargain forever.
Nope, don't have time for that - I'm moving on to the next ad.
"Message seller for price"
Are you lazy or what?
Tell me the price upfront in the ad, don't waste my time.
Prices like 1 or 1234 or alike
- is the same thing and just as annoying as mentioned above.
But not only that - as a salesman you are actually ruining your own chances for a sale here.
First off, I pass by immidiately, I don't bother with people who so obviously want to bargain to get a discussion of the day
Secondly when searching for goods to buy, you have the filter option to select prices between x and y.
If you as salesman sets a price of 123, and the buyer has 120 as filter - your ad is not shown.
Anything I forgot? Please don't hesitate to contact us, and let's make our own ads at the marketplace effective.
